1. Introduction
St. Louise de Marillac Vocational Training Centre (VTC) successfully held a two-day Exit Program for eight (8) second-year trainees who later graduated on 25th October 2025.
The program prepared the young women for life after training — equipping them with practical skills, confidence, discipline, and readiness for entrepreneurship and employment.
It served as a period of reflection, orientation, and hands-on preparation for their transition into the world of work.
2. Day One – Orientation & Reflection
The first session was opened by Sr. Gertrude, VTC Administrator/Coordinator, who highlighted the importance of the Exit Program and encouraged the trainees to uphold the values of professionalism and good conduct acquired during their training.
Facilitators for the day included:
- Madam Evodia Morfaw, Head of Catering
- Madam Alberta Suglo, Head of Dressmaking
The trainees engaged in interactive discussions on:
- Life after VTC
- How VTC has shaped their growth
- Plans for business or career development
- Personal reflections and aspirations
Miss Dana, a volunteer from Germany working with SCA/VTC, also participated and encouraged the girls to remain determined and innovative.

3. Day Two – Business Plan & Entrepreneurship Session
Day Two was facilitated by Mr. Nyitar Terungwa Valentine, VTC Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and I.T Support Specialist.
The focus was practical entrepreneurship, small business development, and branding.

8. Evaluation & Feedback
A VTC Evaluation Form was completed by all trainees.
Feedback showed high satisfaction, increased confidence, and appreciation for the practical nature of the sessions.
9. Conclusion
The 2025 Exit Program was a remarkable success.
Over two days, trainees were meaningfully engaged, inspired, and empowered to step into the future with knowledge, confidence, and strong values.
